October is Rett Syndrome Awareness Month in Washington State

Washington State Governor Chris Gregoire has signed, proclaming October as Rett Syndrome Awareness month! Thanks to Lauren Cramer for helping make this possible!

You are here because you have an interest in Rett Syndrome and/or Washington state. I am the IRSF Regional Representative for Washington State. I also sit on the Board of Directors for The Arc of Washington. My real job is being mom to two children. An amazing 7 yr old, Caitlyn, and an equally amazing 5 month old, Gunner. Caitlyn was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome at the age of 2 1/2. She is my passion behind my drive for disability awareness and education. Stay informed as to issues having to do with disabilities in our state, and also catch the "featured post" of the week where I will feature a guest post from another Rett parent in our state about their child and Rett Syndrome. Because you know what they say...If you've met one child with Rett Syndrome...you've met ONE child with Rett Syndrome.
